Seeing the impacts of our choices and watching the earth wearing down, I couldn't help but think of how and what I could change to start leaving a positive imprint. Conserving energy seemed to stick out most, but still how can I, just one person make a change that will really impact the earth? If we all take the time and look around us, we can see how we have impacted the world. Wheter good or bad, we can see it. The good news is we have the power to change it.
To really find out about conserving energy I had to conduct research. I first started my research online, reading great tips and ideals about conserving energy. I implemented the ones I could, the small changes I could make with out spending a dime. I turned lights off, unplugged items, took shorter (faster) showers, washed clothes in cold water and checked my windows for any leaks. I sealed my home from heat in the summer and cold air in the winter, and potential bugs that may slither through the poor ventilation I had. I opened my monthly power bills and was pleasantly surprised as each month it decreased more and more. Will the changes I have made really impact the environment? With the ever rising cost of living, I would like to think I am making a positive impact. The changes I have made have saved me money, and that is a great thing. Whether we are making small changes or huge changes, I know that together many people can make a great impact. There are so many alternatives available, and they are more affordable than ever. Making small changes doesn't cost a thing, so why not start today? So to answer the question, what does conserving really do, it helps clean up the environment. If you start today by making small changes in your daily routines you can help put together the big puzzle! To make a huge impact, we can look forward to creating energy using solar power. Solar power is renewable and there is an overflowing surplus! Solar energy is not only a great resource to tap into it is more affordable than ever. Generating solar energy may not be an option for many, however we can all make changes in our daily routines that will leave a positive impact on our environment. If everyone made small changes, we would have a huge impact. The earth will be here long after we are gone, and it's up to us to take care of it while we are here. How do you want to leave it?
