There are different types of wind generator available today one that has become quite popular is the marine wind generator .  What a lot of people are not aware of is that there are actually wind generators available which can be used on boats and other watercrafts.  This is a truly amazing device, which allows you to prevent pollution and save yourself money no matter where you go.  A marine wind generator is quite affordable and will make the perfect finishing touch to any watercraft.

If you are wondering how these marine wind generators work, you should know that the process is really quite simple.  They work just like the regular wind generators work only they are used on the boat.  Whereas with a house the wind generator would be powering a much larger space, with a boat there are really only a few appliances and electronics you would need relying on it.  This is ideal if you plan on staying overnights on your boat.

The marine wind generator is great for the environment because it uses kinetic energy of the wind to produce usable energy.   Wind generators do not pollute as other sources of energy do.  When you are trying to decide on which marine wind generator to use on your boat there are a few important factors to consider.  For one thing, always choose a proper sized generator which will depend largely on the size of your boat.

Especially if you like to travel far out onto the water where there can be little to no wind, you want a larger generator that has more blades.  One is a larger number of blades, typically more than ten because this way the wind generator can produce a larger amount of energy in a shorter amount of time.  The amount of power created will depend on the cube of the wind speed.  You may find yourself having to move the boat to different areas when out on the water, in order to have the wind generator produce more energy.

This is another reason why storing in batteries is ideal because then if there happens to be a few days that are not windy you will still have that stored power to use.  You can use it as you need it and keep the rest stored.  This is going to help you enjoy your days out on the boat rather than listening to a noisy motor sound.  As soon as you have it installed you will be able to start profiting.
