Biodiesel fuel from vegetable oil.
Biodiesel fuel is starting to become popular among car owners worldwide. The main reason for this is the rising prices of gasoline and diesel, however, other reasons are a need for an alternative fuel source, pollution and global warming. The two best known alternative fuels are ethanol and biodiesel fuel, both of these are now being manufactured and sold in quite a few countries worldwide. Although, a car running on gasoline will need to be converted to run on methanol, on the other hand a car running on diesel should be easier to convert to run on biodiesel fuel. Its possible you have not heared about biodiesel fuel and don't know what it is. This type of fuel is manufactured from recycled vegetable oil or crops like rape seed. This is passed through a processor to create biodiesel fuel which can then be used in your car. You can buy kits to produce biodiesel fuel at home, unfortunately these can be quite expensive, often costing a few thousand dollars for a good quality kit. However, you will probably get your money back in a short time, because of the savings you will make by using this fuel. If you are thinking about making your own biodiesel, do some research first so you will know what to do. You will be able to find lots of information on the Internet, where there are lots of web sites that specialize in giving information on this subject. You will also be able to find companies who sell biodiesel equipment and kits. This fuel can be manufactured from canola, soy, rapeseed and other crops which create a alternative energy source that burns cleaner than most fuels on the market today. There could be one problem when it comes to using biodiesel fuel in your car. This is that not all car manufacturers recognize this technology and will not guarantee their vehicles if you use biodiesel fuel. Although, because there is a call for using more environmentally friendly fuel, this will change sooner than later. |
